周常勇,男,汉族,1965年11月生。湖南省安仁县人。研究员,博导。

曾任西南大学副校长、西南大学柑桔研究所(中国农业科学院柑桔研究所)所长,现任西南大学学术委员会主任、国家柑桔工程技术研究中心主任。入选国家级人才、重庆市两江学者等。现兼任国际柑桔病毒学家组织主席、国际柑桔学会执委、中国柑桔学会理事长、中国植物保护学会副理事长、教育部科技委农林学部委员、西南大学学术委副主任兼秘书长等。

主要从事分子植物病理学研究,带领的团队先后入选教育部创新团队和农业部创新团队。近十年来,主持国家科技支撑计划“长江柑桔带橙汁加工关键技术研究与产业化开发”项目、国家公益性行业(农业)科研专项“果树病毒病防控技术研究与示范”和“柑橘黄龙病和溃疡病综合防控技术研究与示范”等国家级项目10余项。培养博士后6名、博士12名、硕士53名,发表论文170余篇,发表论文170余篇,编著和参与编著书籍5部。

主持的“柑桔良种无病毒苗木繁育体系构建与应用”成果2012年获得国家科技进步奖二等奖,另获省部级科技成果奖7项、澳大利亚约翰.狄龙纪念奖、中国科协抗冻救灾先进科技工作者、全国优秀农业科技工作者、中国农业科学院先进工作者、重庆市先进工作者、重庆高校“十五”十佳科技创新人才等荣誉。


留学经历

  • 1997至2001在澳大利亚悉尼大学攻读分子植物病理专业博士学位。

  • 2012年赴澳大利亚联邦科工组织植物所等7个单位进行教育部留学基金委博导交流项目及考察。
